Hello,

I have downloaded the application but I see "Data Connection" dot as Red, not Green.

I couldn't find any settings menu to set connection points, or any other options.

I looked at the every menu but I am unable to make a connection.

What should I do?

PS: Version is 1.0.0.1543 and device is BlackBerry Bold with OS 4.6.0.247

Thank you.

Red indicates no connection
Blue means good connection

We made some changes into our server, hope you could connect OK now?

The Market Watch and Wall Street Journal RSS isn't working? And will you expand service to other exchanges (TSX, Nasdaq) rather just DOW?

Thanks, the berrytrader product interface looks clean and is easy to use..

Thanks clearone. We notice problems with Market Watch but not WSJ. We are tweaking to improve the performance of Berry Trader. Eventually order interface & account management for some brokers will be supported. Keep us in your radar.

Next version to be released is mid April, mainly to upgrade Berry Trader to a stable 1.1 release. We are working with data vendors to have real-time US stocks delivered to Berry Trader but none of them is interested in providing a free service. We hope at least to add 20 mins delayed or snapshot of US stocks into the first stable release.

Hello again,

I am unable to connect to the service with built 1543.

I have loaded the previous version (1084) into my device and it worked for a while. Now, it is working with Direct TCP/IP settings, which is not acceptable for a BB device.

At the last version, where is "Settings" menu? My main menu contains only real-time charting, real-time quotes, dow jones news, RSS news and About Berry Trader, nothing more.

I think there should be "Settings" and "Event Alert" menus, too.

I know this is a Beta, and I appreciate your efforts.

Thanks,

Emin

Hello Emingurbuz,

We don't want to release functions that are not working stable enough, therefore Settings is pulled out of this 1543 release.
Alert function is being redesigned to improve the battery life. With the old alert, once it is set, price feed is delivered to that platform continuously. Active air interface drains down the battery, not how much data you download. We decided to move alert monitor function onto the server. When Berry Trader is not active, it doesn't download data. New alert will support both price & news alerts. This feature will be part of our first stable release.

Cheers,
